CSL play it cool with Aryzta

Aryzta, a global bakery company, turned to Conveyor Systems Ltd (CSL) to design and install a pallet conveyor system for a cold store upgrade at their UK site. The goal was to replace subcontracted cold storage with in-house operations to reduce costs.

CSL provided a dual-lane, reversible pallet conveyor system that could handle pallets weighing up to 1500kg and operate in both cold (-25°C) and ambient (+8°C) conditions. The system was supported by a steel structure and integrated with sensor rollers to overcome issues with condensation in the cold store, replacing traditional Photo Electric Cells (PECS).

The project also involved coordination with other suppliers to interface with an Air Curtain system and rapid shutter doors, ensuring proper sequencing and temperature control. CSL completed the project on time and within budget.

The Aryzta Project Manager praised CSL for their high-level design, technical support, and successful delivery of a valuable asset to the business.
