Conveyor Systems Ltd just the tonic for accurate NHS order picking

CSL implemented an advanced inter-floor conveying solution at the NHS Distribution Centre in Larkhall, Scotland, to address increasing order volumes and improve warehouse efficiency. The new system, designed to handle both tote bins and plastic trays through five picking zones, included a spiral lowerator to transport items to the ground-floor dispatch area. CSL integrated parts of the existing system to enhance ROI while upgrading the picking process. Totes are labeled with barcodes, scanned for accuracy, and validated by additional barcode readers at each picking zone. The system enables faster picking, with totes manually rerouted or automatically sent for dispatch. The NHS praised CSL for its continued reliability and immediate operational benefits.
